Catherine Scott has worked as a documentary filmmaker for over 25 years. Her credits include; Producer/DOP – Dancing On the Inside (COMPASS – ABC TV), Story Producer/DOP – Missing Persons Investigations (Channel Nine/ STAN), Producer for Foreign Correspondent (ABC TV) – Right To Choose, Cartel Country, Give Us The Ballot, Not everyone Wants a Goat, Producer/Director/ DOP – Country Town Pride (Untold Stories SBS TV & SBS On Demand) Producer/Director/Cinematographer of the award-winning documentary feature – Backtrack Boys (Cinema release over 100 Australian screens, SBS TV, Binge Apple TV), Producer – Unconquered – The Invictus Games (ABC TV) Producer, Being Me – Four Corners (ABC TV), Director/Co-Producer/Cinematographer of the award-winning documentary feature – Scarlet Road (SBS TV), Director/Co-writer of Selling Sickness (SBS TV) and Director/Co-producer of the Walkley Award-winning Business Behind Bars and Profits of Punishment (SBS TV).
Catherine was Senior Producer for SBS Dateline and a Producer /camerawoman for ABC’s Foreign Correspondent. As a freelance Director, Producer, Cinematographer and Editor, her documentaries have broadcast internationally including SBS TV, ABC TV, CBC Canada, PBS Television, Channel 4, NHK, Arte and France 2. Catherine began her filmmaking career as a member of the Paper Tiger TV collective in New York City, Co-producing over 30 productions including Breathless and Drawing the Line at Pittston. Catherine was also Co-producer/Director for Deep Dish TV programs including Who’s Afraid of the Little Yellow School Bus?, The Last Graduation, Lock Down USA and The Gulf Crisis TV Project.
Producer
Pat Fiske OAM, Bower Bird Films, has directed and/or produced many award-winning documentaries and mentored many young filmmakers over the years. In 2001-2002 she was Documentary Consultant at SBS Independent television for 18 months. In 2001 she was awarded the prestigious Stanley Hawes Award for her outstanding contribution to the documentary industry in Australia and was Co-Head of Documentary at AFTRS from 2002-2008. In 2023 Pat was awarded the Order of Australia for her service to the film industry.
